Be Bright Day!
Be Bright Day!

William Patten children and staff dressed in their brightest clothes on Wednesday 23rd October for BE BRIGHT DAY.
As the clocks have now gone back and it gets dark at 4.30pm, it is important to make yourself seen by drivers and cyclists – to stay safe.

KS2 children entered a ‘Be Bright Be Seen’ competition by designing their own bright outfits for pedestrians. Harry Tipple from Hackney Road Safety came into school to judge the entries with Khyal and Marina, our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs).
There were so many fantastic entries that Harry took away more than two from some classes! A selection of the shortlisted designs will be displayed in Stoke Newington Library, so pop in a take a look.

Class Winners:
Bobby 3CP, Yana 3CP, Taanniya 3C, Taarik 3C, Joe 4J, Martha 4J,
Ruby 4HI, Jim 4HI, Lauren 4HI, Yasmin 5L, Aryon 5L, Jacques 5L, Tess 5J, Jago 5J, Valentina 6B, Tilly 6B, Lonnie 6B, Francesca 6B, Yunus 6B, Nawaal 6CK and Yasmin 6CK.

Khyal and Marina also held brilliant assemblies for the whole of KS2 and then KS1.They even taught everyone the Green Cross Code, with actions! A big thank you to our JRSOs, you’re doing a great job!
