Once again, a huge thank you to our wonderful families for making this year’s Tastes of the World possible. We had food from over 20 countries – and it was all delicious! Thank you to everyone for your hard work cooking and baking. We had so much food, which meant that the children were able to sample a variety of dishes. The children were all very adventurous and tried lots of different things, and most of them wanted more! They also demonstrated very good manners. It would be impossible to list all the amazing dishes but included Chinese deep fried doughsticks, bofloto from the Ivory Coast, bruschetta from Italy, Spanish patatas bravas, gulab jamun from India, paripu from Sri Lanka, Vietnamese vegetable noodles, falafel in pitta bread from Israel, hasselback potatoes from Sweden and banana fritters from Jamaica.
The day would not have happened without the food, but it would not have happened without the super team of volunteers who came to share the food out. We simply couldn’t have done it without you.
