Father Christmas’ Grotto!
Last Sunday was the event of the season…..the William Patten Winter Fair, when a little bit of Narnia came to Stoke Newington. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Everyone seemed to have a really good time and we have had lots of positive feedback. Huge love and thanks to all our very hard-working volunteers who slaved away to make this such a lovely school event: we are grateful to each and every one of you. A special thank you goes out to Sally Newsom for the raffle; Jess Jasvir for coordinating volunteers; Louise Nickerson for organising the outside space; Lorna MacFarlane for the arts and crafts; Fatema Mapara for the food hall; Justin Unsworth for bringing his food truck; Rachel Curtis, Beth Corner and team for the T-shirts; Susannah Trefgarne and Allie Twitchett for the cake stall and competition; Andy Dragazis for audio and music; Chris Brierley for leading the costume parade through the school to the strains of his violin; Rachel Shakides and Chloe Leland for looking after all things jumble; Paget Gaunt and team for the truly magical grotto; Seamus Desouza and Jonathan Parr for sorting out floats, moneybelts and the big count up at the end; Liana, Carole and Wendy, Dee and David The best news of all is that not only did we have a lovely day, but we raised a staggering £4500. So well done everyone – a brilliant end to the year.
