This year’s Hackney Music Festival was another huge success. William Patten was once again well represented and the school orchestra, steel pan band, KS1 and KS2 choir and children all performed brilliantly at the Round Chapel. The event also included an Early Years’ Day in which a number of children from Reception took part. The festival took place over a number of days this year, meaning that more children could be involved. The children also enjoyed performances from other schools in the borough, both primary and secondary, which provided access to a range of different musical genres. Each day culminated in an impressive cross school performance of a piece learnt earlier in the day.
