A team from William Patten took part in the first round of a national maths competition this week. The National Young Mathematicians Awards is organised by Explore Learning in collaboration with Nrich and Cambridge University.
Round One took place at the Explore Learning Centre on Essex Road. Team members had to work together to solve a never before seen maths problem and a number of local schools took part over two days.
The William Patten Team – Evie, Freddie, Pablo and Uma (Y6) were excellent school representatives and worked together with enthusiasm.
Teams progressing to round 2 will be announced next week and the winning team will take part in the final round in Cambridge. Fingers crossed William Patten!
