In light of the evolving situation around coronavirus, the school has been reviewing current systems and procedures to ensure we are doing everything possible to keep the school environment and children as safe as possible.
• The children have hand sanitiser in their classrooms (alcohol and alcohol free for those children not allowed to use the alcohol version) to use throughout the day.
• We are encouraging children to bring in their own re-usable water bottles and we are using paper cups in classrooms.
• The cleaning team are ensuring that all surfaces and equipment is being disinfected daily.
• We continue to remind children of good hygiene practices including washing hands after going to the toilet and using tissues for sneezing and coughing
We have a number of trips and events scheduled over the next few weeks and at the moment all are going ahead. Staff will take the hand sanitisers with them on trips for the children to use, particularly after travelling on public transport.
The school is working very closely with relevant agencies such as the DfE, the Learning Trust and Public Health England. We will continue to do so and any decisions about next steps etc will be taken in full consultation with the relevant agencies.
