Welcome back and Happy New Year!
Unfortunately 2021 has not started in the way that we all hoped and yet again we are in a virtual world with the majority of our children at home. We are only open for our Keyworker Provision. We are very sorry that we do not have all our wonderful children in school in person. I really enjoyed seeing them on their class Google Meets yesterday morning and look forward to catching up with Year 3 today.
The government’s announcement on Monday evening was incredibly disappointing, although not surprising given the rate of transmission and the number of positive cases being recorded, not only in London, but in the rest of the country. The decisions affecting schools made in the last few days of the holiday and recently have been incredibly fast moving. I would like to thank you for the numerous messages and emails of support that I received during the holiday and also since the start of term, which have meant so much during this very tumultuous time.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff team, who have been amazing and responded to the rapidly changing situation as they always do to everything, with positivity, commitment above and beyond and good grace.
We appreciate that the next few weeks will be challenging as families readjust to working from home. I am aware that there have been some conversations about our current remote learning provision. Feedback received from the previous lockdown has resulted in changes to online learning for the next two weeks, with daily class meets, the teacher being available all day to support and answer questions and more contact with children from staff. We will continue to review and adapt our offer, and when we have reviewed the provision next week, I will inform you of any changes.
Once again thank you for your support and please do contact us if you have any questions.
