Following last night’s announcement by the Government, school will reopen for all children on Monday 8th March. It is very good news that the children will finally be coming back, as I know they are missing school hugely just as we are missing them! It has been a long time and an incredibly difficult situation for everyone, but having the children back, in their classes, with their friends, and having the structure and routine of school is so important and something we are looking forward to very much!
We are busy planning for their return and detailed information will be sent out at the end of the week. The routines and structures will be very similar to those we had in September with staggered starts and ends of day, year group bubbles, etc.
Breakfast club for those children who are registered and Fit For Sport provision will also start on Monday 8th March.
We all hope that this was the final lockdown. With the vaccination programme and more testing available, it is unlikely that there will be another, but there may be occasions in the future where we have to close year group bubbles in the event of a positive case. Therefore we would be grateful if you could take the time to complete our online survey about remote learning. The information, together with the views of staff and children, will form part of our evaluation of our remote learning offer.
