SUMMARY:School closed (Queen's Platinum Jubilee - extra Bank Holiday)
DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents/Carers\, \n  \nIn recognition of the Platinum Jubilee an additional bank holiday was included in the 2021/22 academic year. The published term dates already set include Thursday 2 June (normally the June bank holiday Monday) and the additional day\, Friday 3 June. \n  \nHowever\, acknowledging that 3 June falls in half term for many authorities\, legislation was changed for this year to reduce the normal teaching requirement to 189 days (instead of 190). \n  \nSchools have been advised to decide individually when they close for this additional holiday. \n\nRather than add it to the end of a term\, we have decided the holiday will take place on Monday 24th January\, therefore making a long weekend in January. \nSchool will be closed on Monday 24th January 2022. \n\nBest wishes \nKaren
