Black History Month 2022

We celebrated Black History Month in October and Years 1, 2 and 3 visited Ridley Road market, where they received a very warm welcome from the stall holders and the children enjoyed purchasing items from the stalls. The classes learnt about the importance of Ridley Road to communities in Hackney and beyond and how it has played and continues to play an important part in Hackney’s history and heritage. Years 4,5 and 6 visited Hackney Museum and Nursery and Reception covered a variety of mini topics through activities from Hackney Museum.
