About Language of the Month

Each half term and whenever we have a special event related to a worldwide location, the children learn greetings and key words from a chosen language. Throughout ‘Language of the Month’, children answer the register and use the vocabulary for school dinner and packed lunch from the target language. Each language is representative of the school community, and children who speak the language at home are involved in introducing it to the whole school. We are currently evaluating our international activities, to renew our International School Award from the British Council.
