Assistant Caretaker

William Patten is a friendly, unique, innovative and exciting, two-form Primary School on Stoke Newington Church Street; a vibrant, creative and diverse community in Hackney.

We are looking to appoint for July 2025 an exceptional Assistant Caretaker to join our Premises Team at William Patten Primary School; delivering a high standard of support to the pupils and staff. The potential candidate will be liaising daily with the Premises and School Business Leader on caretaking issues. The Site Assistant will also need to ensure the security of the school premises and assist in the maintenance of any machinery or plant within the school.

Assistant Caretaker Job Description & Person Specification

Grade: Scale 4 (Point 12 -15)
Salary range: £30,987 – 32,346 fte (£25,822 – £26,955 actual)
Hours: 30 hours per week all year round, with opportunity for additional hours for lettings

This role is specifically for the afternoon cover from 12pm – 6.30pm Monday to Friday
