Teamwork makes the day so much better

Days are interesting and exciting and we all know that you need to come every day to succeed and not miss out.

The school gates open each morning at 9am. For the safety of the children, they should not arrive at school before 9am (unless they are in a club or attend breakfast club). Children cannot be supervised before 9am, as staff have a morning meeting then.

The school bell is rung promptly at 9.00am each morning for KS1 and 9.10am for KS2. Reception children come into their classroom at 9.00am. All other teachers will collect children from the playground at the start of the day. Members of the SLT are at the doors in the morning to greet children and solve any problems.

Please ensure your child arrives punctually. We ask that you get your children into the playground in good time to go into school with their class when the bell rings. Late arrivals disrupt the class and the learning of the child. The day starts with a concentrated reading or phonics session that it is crucial that your child takes part in.

Children arriving after the bell will be marked as late by the office staff. This will be recorded and show on your child’s absence and lateness record. Parents of children whose attendance or punctuality cause concern will be required to meet with the Headteacher.

School finishes at 3.20pm for EY/KS1 and 3.30pm for KS2. Parents/carers picking up children should wait in the playground and teachers will bring their classes out.

Before and after school

Children must be supervised by their parents or carers before and after school. The use of the climbing frames, bikes, skateboards, scooters and football are not allowed before or after school to maintain the safety of all pupils and their families.
