Hi Parents/Carers,

World Book Day is fast approaching and we can’t wait to celebrate at William Patten on Friday 3^rd March!

As part of the day we will be hosting a book swap. Here is what you need to do:

1. Support your child to select an old book that they enjoyed reading and are happy to give away.
2. Your child (or you) should write a little message inside  – or attached by paperclip – to tell the book’s future owner what they will love about it (examples attached).
3. Please bring in your book as soon as possible, prior to the 3^rd of March.
4. On World Book Day (3.3.23), every child will browse the selection of preloved books and select one to keep.

We think this is a beautiful way to share our love of reading while also taking care of the planet!

We understand that some children may not be able to bring in a book to give away. We will still make sure every child is given a book to take home on the day!
Therefore, if you have more than one book that you can donate to the event, these will be gladly received!
