I am writing to inform you that William Patten will be taking part in The Living Streets’ five-day walking challenge.
Each class is challenged to Walk with Wildlife and discover the important reasons to walk to and from school and the difference it can make for individuals, communities and the Planet.
Meeting various animals along the way your child’s class will be walking for : Inclusion, sustainability, health, mindfulness and friendship.
Daily stickers will be awarded to all pupils. Your child will be given a diary to record their progress each day and this is to be completed over the five days.
Each day the class teacher will survey the children to find out about their progress and will count the number of children who have walked to school.
Walk with Wildlife trophies will be awarded to the pupils upon completion.
We want as many people as possible to get involved in this year’s challenge and experience the many benefits of walking.
Equal points will be given to those children who cycle or scoot to school.
