Reception Come Dine with Us

Definitely the biggest Come Dine With Us this year! Over 80 family members came to join the Reception children for a special lunch on Wednesday. It was so lovely to see everyone, including some grandparents and younger siblings! Come Dine with Us is such a special event and is very exciting for the children (especially for our Reception classes as it was their very first CDWU). Thank you for joining us. A very big thank you to Ali and the kitchen team for all of their hard work.

International Evening 2026

What a magical evening! Over 700 children, parents and staff enjoyed performances in the top hall showcasing the talents of our wonderful children, shared delicious food brought in by our fabulous families in the middle hall and took part in amazing craft activities in the bottom hall provided by staff and the parent led EDI committee. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Forest Faces workshop

A huge thank you to Shai and Andrew who ran their Forest Faces workshop for both Year 2 classes just before Easter. The children had an absolutely brilliant time! It was such a fantastic way for the children to combine creativity, practical skills, hands-on learning, and time outdoors. The groups foraged for their materials in the playground, thoroughly enjoyed using all of the tools and then let their imagination run riot designing their own mask or creature. Such creative designs and an absolutely wonderful afternoon. Thank you so much too all of the parents who were able to assist during the sessions. Your time and support is very much appreciated.

Year 5 trip to the Tower of London

Year 5 had a fantastic day on their recent trip to the Tower of London as part of their history learning on the monarchy. The children explored fascinating exhibits, including suits of armour and artefacts belonging to Henry VIII and other monarchs. They also took part in an engaging walking workshop about Henry VIII’s wives, which brought this period of history to life and even had time to see the Crown Jewels!

Year 2 outdoor classroom sessions

Year 2 have enjoyed their outdoor classroom sessions with Nina. The children made castles and beds, as well as mud pies in the mud kitchen. They enjoyed using tools to make their own medals and of course
they loved identifying animal poo and recreating animal prints in clay. El also demonstrated his strength moving a huge wooden pallet to make his cart!

Year 1 trip to Spitalfields Farm

Year 1 had their most exciting adventure yet as they set off by train for Spitalfields Farm. As part of their science topic on animals, they learned all about the farm's animals. Did you know that donkeys are not waterproof? Chewy the goat was a particular favourite as were the guinea pigs and ferrets. We noticed that one of the sheep was missing an ear and one of the ducks missing an eye. Our guides - Sadie and Kirsten - explained that a lot of the animals are rescue animals. We really recommend a visit!

Year 4 Come Dine with Us

Thank you to all the families who were able to join us for the Year 4 Come Dine With Us today. It was so lovely to see so many of you and thank you for your lovely comments about your lunch. The kitchen team were delighted to hear you enjoyed your meal. Thank you for your patience with the long queue! The children were all so excited to see you too. A huge thank you to Ali and his team - Althea, Sally, Sophia and Tilda for all their hard work preparing an extra 60 delicious dinners! What a team!

PTFA bake sale

Year 4 continued the bake sale competition after school on Friday with a delicious selection of tray bakes, cupcakes and big cakes to choose from. A very big thank you to everybody who made cakes, helped to serve (including some junior assistants!) or bought cakes. All money raised will go the @william_patten_school_ptfa to raise money for additional activities and resources for the children. The year group that raises the most money wins a prize! Will it be Year 4? We will have to wait and see! Thank you Year 4!
